We propose an ultrasonic-assisted point-one-shot mid-infrared Fourier spectroscopy device involving an ultrasonic liquidcell and point-one-shot Fourier spectroscopy (diameter: 6 mm, thickness: 5 mm) for ear clip type non-invasive blood glucose sensors, at a low cost (approximately 1,000 EUR). As the prevalence of diabetes increases over time, methods for non-invasive monitoring of blood glucose concentration in daily life are increasingly important for diabetes control and prevention. However, there are currently no sensors for non-invasively detecting biological components in daily environments. In the current study, we propose a point-one-shot Fourier spectroscopy method comprising one objective lens and a camera. The objective lens is a spherical lens at the front side and a dual-axis wedge prism inclined along the horizontal and vertical axes. An objective beam is collimated by the objective lens, with a difference in optical path length caused by the wedge prism. This device can be used to obtain two-dimensional spatial fringe patterns. Conventional oneshot Fourier spectroscopy produces one-dimensional fringe patterns in the horizontal direction of the array device. Thus, the maximum optical path length is limited by the number of pixels in only the horizontal line of the array device. However, our proposed point-one-shot Fourier spectroscopy device can produce an interferogram with longer maximum optical path lengths compared with conventional devices because horizontal lines at difference rows are connected by the same phase pixel. Thus, spectroscopic imaging devices can be produced at a low cost because low-resolution cameras (e.g., 80 × 80 pixels) can be used for spectroscopy.

We propose the point one-shot mid-infrared Fourier spectroscopic imager, which is composed of only a single Ge lens (diameter: 6 mm; thickness: 5 mm) and a two-dimensional array device. The lens is a nonspherical lens on the front side and a dual-axis inclined wedge prism at the rear side. The objective beams, which have different optical path lengths because of the effects of the prism, are imaged using the array device and we obtain a two-dimensional spatial fringe pattern. We can improve the wavelength resolution analytically by connecting the same optical path difference (OPD) pixels of the horizontal lines at different rows, even though we use low-resolution cameras.

    透析装置では,血液のような粒子が混在する溶液から粒子を分離する処理が必要となる.我々が提案している超音波液体セルは,粒子を超音波定在波により凝集させることで透過光計測が可能となる.しかし,本手法の液体セルは流路が狭く,管内抵抗が大きくなってしまう.そこで,流路内に差周波を発生させて搬送波を生成し,血液の循環を促す.本報告では,管内抵抗に着目した超音波アシストによる搬送波生成について述べる.

    超音波アシスト中赤外分光イメージングによるイヤリング型非侵襲血糖値センサーの実現を目指している.生体のような軟質材料に超音波を加振した際、パラメトリック効果により減衰の小さい低周波数でも高周波数と同等の狭隘な反射面を生成できることを発見した.マウスの耳内部において生成された反射面をOptical Coherence Tomographyで確認し,結像型2次元フーリエ分光法を用いた非侵襲計測において血中グルコースの吸収ピークの取得に成功した.

    我々は中赤外光波長帯域における生体試料内部からの反射光検出を目的とした超音波液体セルを提案してきた。しかし、本手法は液体セル壁面における反射音場による音響流が原因となり、超音波定在波に乱れが生じていた。本報告では、音響流抑制による超音波定在波の安定性向上を目的としたチューブ式スタビライザー搭載型超音波液体セルを提案する。搭載前の液体セルに比べ、約2倍の印加電圧下でも安定して内部反射光を取得できた。

    担体の金属酸化物の種類や結晶構造が、担持イリジウム種の触媒活性に及ぼす顕著な影響を活かして、種々の有機化合物合成反応に有効な固体イリジウム触媒を開発した。例えば、{010}面を豊富に有するアナターゼを活用して、2-ニトロアニリン類と第一級アルコールからのベンゾイミダゾール合成反応に優れた活性を示す担持イリジウム触媒を開発した。一方、イリジウム錯体と酸化セリウムの組み合わせによって、アルケニルシラン合成反応に優れた活性・選択性を示す固体触媒がその場調製できることを、明らかにした。

    ニトロ化合物と第1級アルコール間の水素移動反応による、ジイミンやアゾール類等の含窒素有機化合物の合成に有効な酸化チタン担持イリジウム触媒を開発した。反応は80℃といった温和な条件で円滑に進行した。担体結晶面の影響は顕著であり、中でも{010}面を豊富に有するアナターゼを担体とするイリジウム触媒が優れた活性を示した。活性種に及ぼす結晶面の影響等について詳細に検討したので報告する。

    ゼオライト等の固体酸の解析法として、吸着アンモニア種の近赤外分光法による解析が注目されている。そこで、石丸らが考案したシンプルな光学構成で迅速計測が可能な結像型2次元フーリエ分光法による近赤外分光イメージング装置を活用して、ゼオライトの固体酸性を評価した。その結果、ゼオライト空孔内の水分に加えて、Lewis 酸点に吸着したアンモニア、水素結合アンモニア種の分布を検出可能であった。さらに昇温時の脱離過程を観察したので報告する。

    2-ニトロアニリン類と第一級アルコール間の水素移動反応によるベンゾイミダゾール合成に有効な酸化チタン担持イリジウム触媒を見出した.以前報告した脱水素型合成の場合とは異なり、アナタースが主である酸化チタンを担体とする触媒が低い反応温度で優れた活性を示した。例えば、2-ニトロアニリンとベンジルアルコール間の反応はJRC-TIO-9担持Ir触媒存在下、80 ℃で円滑に進行し,78%の収率で2-フェニルベンゾイミダゾールが得られた(反応条件:触媒量1 mol% as Ir, 18 h)。

    インドールやベンゾイミダゾール等の種々の含窒素有機化合物の脱水素型合成反応に対して、比較的低い反応温度で優れた活性を示す担持イリジウム触媒を開発した。例えば、ルチル型酸化チタン担持イリジウム触媒存在下、2-(2-アミノフェニル)エタノールの環化脱水素反応は120℃で円滑に進行し、86%の収率でインドールが得られた(反応条件:触媒量1 mol% as Ir, 18 h)。

    我々は,空間的位相シフト干渉法による機械的駆動部を持たない,直径5mm程度の超小型フーリエ分光イメージング技術を提案している.本報告では,日本酒などのアルコール濃度とグルコース濃度の近赤外分光計測による定量化技術について述べる.各成分固有の吸収波長(アルコール:1200nm,グルコース:1600nm,水分:1400nm)に於ける吸光度からアルコール度数の定量化を行った.本手法によれば,酒造蔵現場での発酵度などの品質管理が可能となる.

    ワンショット赤外フーリエ分光イメージング技術の,グルコース濃度定量化精度に関して検証を行った.256階調程度の2次元受光アレイデバイスを用いても,フーリエ分光法が複数の干渉強度値を用いること,また,イメージング分光データの空間的,時間的積算による統計的効果により10万階調程度になる事を明らかにした.液体セル中の100mg/dl近傍のグルコース濃度と,1600nmにおける吸光度を用いて相関係数0.92の検量線を求めることができた.

In the daily living space, measurement of the biological-substance distributions such as sebum can be realized by the proposed method of imaging-type 2-dimensional Fourier spectroscopy. This method has the strong robustness for mechanical vibrations. So, the spectrometer (size: 50∗50mm, weight: 200g) can be produced without anti-vibration mechanism. Moreover, the phase shifter is a core part of the spectrometer, and it is constructed by the low-price bimorph type actuator which is depending on the vibration control of the piezoceramic in proposed method. It is appropriate as the actuator of the phase shifter from the evaluation results of the actuator straightness and position accuracy in the mid-infrared region. As we know, the Fourier spectroscopy has a high light utilization efficiency. Therefore, the low price microbolometer can be used as the imaging sensor. So, the low-price (10, 000 U.S. dollars), compact and high portability spectrometer can be produced. Furthermore, the much higher position accuracy in the short wavelength region is requested as we know, the phase shift correction method has been proposed. In this paper, high performance evaluations of the portable spectroscopy apparatus have been discussed by using the CO2 laser spectroscopy results in the mid-infrared region. Then, the phase shift correction method was explained. At the end, we demonstrated the feasibility of the mid-infrared imaging of whole human faces without active illuminations.

    本研究では、芳香族カルボン酸の内部アルキンへの付加反応に対して酸化物担持Ru触媒が優れた触媒活性を示すことを見出した。例えば、Ru/ZrO<sub>2</sub>触媒および酢酸カリウム存在下、<i>o</i>-トルイル酸と1-フェニル-1-プロピンをメシチレン溶媒中、170℃にて24時間反応させたところ、カルボン酸の芳香族C-H結合のアルキンへの付加とそれに続く環化反応が進行し、フタリド誘導体がGC収率93%で得られた。一方, SiO<sub>2</sub>, Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, TiO<sub>2</sub>, Mn<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>に担持したRu触媒を用いたところ反応はほとんど進行しなかった。

    我々は,無限遠補正結像光学系の光学的フーリエ変換面に,直方体と傾斜プリズムによる透過型位相シフターを挿入した,波面分割型空間的位相シフト干渉法を提案している.これは,スマートフォンなどの結像光学系に,薄い傾斜ガラス板を挿入するだけで,ワンショット(1画像)で1ライン上のフーリエ分光イメージングが可能になる.近赤外領域の分光断層イメージングにより,皮膚などの生体膜表面や内部の成分計測を目指している.

    日本酒などの液体状サンプルの成分分析装置として,ATR(Attenuated Total Reflection)赤外フーリエ分光法を提案する.我々はこれまでにワンショット赤外フーリエ分光技術を確立しており,これを本装置に応用することで小型かつ携帯性を有する装置を実現する.本報では,提案するATR赤外フーリエ分光法の概要と共に,基礎実験としてエタノールやグルコースなど酒の主成分を従来装置で測定した実験結果について報告する.

    Photo-assisted catalytic partial oxidation of methane, ethane and propane has been performed in the presence of supported molybdenum oxide catalysts at around 500 K by the use of a fluidized bed flow-type reactor under UV irradiation. Temperatures as high as 500 K were indispensable for the selective formation of methanal from methane (ca. 19 μmol h-1), corresponding to 5.5% of the photons irradiated into the catalyst bed (<300 nm). The yields were greatly affected by the loding levels of molybdenum species, the preparation methods of the catalysts and the light flux into the catalyst bed. Photooxidation of ethane and propane also selectively gave the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in high yields (ca. 80 μmol h-1) at elevated temperature. The reaction seemed to proceed via charge-transfer complexes formed by photo-activation of terminal coordinatively unsaturated M=O groups in multilayers of molybdenum species.

For monitoring and prevention of lifestyle diseases, we have investigated development of non-invasive ear-clip type blood glucose sensors that can be used by individuals in daily life. Because mid-infrared light (λ = 8-14 μm) is absorbed strongly by water, it is difficult to detect transmitted light from human bodies. We propose that an ultrasonic-assisted method, which can actively produce a reflection plane at a blood vessel (depth of around 100 μm), could be used to detect internal reflected light from biological tissues. An ultrasonic standing wave produced near the skin surface by an ultrasonic vibrator can form refractive index boundaries between areas of high and low density. Additionally, we can use a low ultrasonic frequency (1 MHz) that does not suffer from heavy damping by parametric standing waves, which appear in non-rigid samples and produce reflection planes at the same depth when using a high frequency (10 MHz). At the refractive index boundary nearest the skin surface, the light from inside biological tissues is reflected and can be used to obtain information of biological components. The optical path length can be set by changing the measurement depth by altering the ultrasonication frequency. We measured internal reflected light from the ears of mice (blood glucose level = 120 mg/dL) non-invasively using our unique mid-infrared spectroscopic imager and obtained absorption peaks for blood glucose (λ = 9.3 μm and 9.7 μm). Mid-infrared spectroscopy can be applied to measurements in samples with high water contents.

    We proposed the ultrasonic-assisted spectroscopic imaging for the realization of blood-glucose-level monitoring during dialytic therapy. Optical scattering and absorption caused by blood cells deteriorate the detection accuracy of glucose dissolved in plasma. Ultrasonic standing waves can agglomerate blood cells at nodes. In contrast, around anti-node regions, the amount of transmitted light increases because relatively clear plasma appears due to decline the number of blood cells. Proposed method can disperse the transmitted light of plasma without time-consuming pretreatment such as centrifugation. To realize the thumb-size glucose sensor which can be easily attached to dialysis tubes, an ultrasonic standing wave generator and a spectroscopic imager are required to be small. Ultrasonic oscillators are ∅30[mm]. A drive circuit of oscillators, which now size is 41×55×45[mm], is expected to become small. The trial apparatus of proposed one-shot Fourier spectroscopic imager, whose size is 30×30×48[mm], also can be little-finger size in principal. In the experiment, we separated the suspension mixed water and micro spheres (∅10[mm) into particles and liquid regions with the ultrasonic standing wave (frequency: 2[MHz]). Furthermore, the spectrum of transmitted light through the suspension could be obtained in visible light regions with a white LED.

    For blood glucose level measurement of dialysis machines, we proposed AAA-battery-size ATR (Attenuated total reflection) Fourier spectroscopy in middle infrared light region. The proposed one-shot Fourier spectroscopic imaging is a near-common path and spatial phase-shift interferometer with high time resolution. Because numerous number of spectral data that is 60 (=camera frame rare e.g. 60 [Hz]) multiplied by pixel number could be obtained in 1 [sec.], statistical-averaging improvement realize high-accurate spectral measurement. We evaluated the quantitative accuracy of our proposed method for measuring glucose concentration in near-infrared light region with liquid cells. We confirmed that absorbance at 1600 [nm] had high correlations with glucose concentrations (correlation coefficient: 0.92). But to measure whole-blood, complex light phenomenon caused from red blood cells, that is scattering and multiple reflection or so, deteriorate spectral data. Thus, we also proposed the ultrasound-assisted spectroscopic imaging that traps particles at standing-wave node. Thus, if ATR prism is oscillated mechanically, anti-node area is generated around evanescent light field on prism surface. By elimination complex light phenomenon of red blood cells, glucose concentration in whole-blood will be quantify with high accuracy. In this report, we successfully trapped red blood cells in normal saline solution with ultrasonic standing wave (frequency: 2[MHz]).

    To realize the non-invasive blood glucose measurement, it will be effective to acquire the spectroscopic imaging of blood vessels only near the skin surface for eliminating other biological-component's disturbances. Our proposed imaging-type 2-dimensional Fourier spectroscopic imaging can limit the measuring depth into focal plane with high light detection sensitivity. Thus, the proposed method will be suitable for measuring only near the skin surface with detecting weak reflected light from inner biomembrane. But reflectance of skin surface is more than 1000 times larger than inner skin's reflectance. Paying attention on Fresnel reflection, fingers what were illuminated by p-polarized beam from Brewster's angle were observed with crossed-Nicol dark field optics. We successfully acquired spectroscopic characteristics of hemoglobin at vein area near the skin surface.

    We proposed the imaging-type 2-dimensional Fourier spectroscopy that is a near-common-path interferometer with strong robustness against mechanical vibrations. We introduced the miniature uncooled infrared microbolometer arrays for smartphone (e.g. product name: FILR ONE price: around 400USD). And we constructed the phase-shifter with the piezo impact drive mechanism (maker: Technohands.co.Ltd., stroke: 4.5mm, resolution: 0.01μm, size: 20mm, price: around 800USD). Thus, we realized the palm-size mid-infrared spectroscopic imager [size: L56mm×W69mm×H43mm weight: 500g]. And by using wide-angle lens as objective lens, the proposed method can obtain the wide-field 2- dimensional middle-infrared (wavelength: 7.5-13.5[μm]) spectroscopic imaging of radiation lights emitted from human bodies itself.

    For simultaneous measurement of multi-components on-site like factories, the ultra-compact (diameter: 9[mm], length: 45[mm], weight: 200[g]) one-shot ATR (Attenuated Total Reflection) Fourier spectroscopic imager was proposed. Because the proposed one-shot Fourier spectroscopic imaging is based on spatial-phase-shift interferometer, interferograms could be obtained with simple optical configurations. We introduced the transmission-type relativeinclined phase-shifter, that was constructed with a cuboid prism and a wedge prism, onto the optical Fourier transform plane of infinity corrected optical systems. And also, small light-sources and cameras in the mid-infrared light region, whose size are several millimeter on a side, are essential components for the ultra-compact spectroscopic configuration. We selected the Graphite light source (light source area: 1.7×1.7[mm], maker: Hawkeye technologies) whose radiation factor was high. Fortunately, in these days we could apply the cost-effective 2-dimensional light receiving device for smartphone (e.g. product name: LEPTON, maker: FLIR, price: around 400USD). In the case of alcoholic drinks factory, conventionally workers measure glucose and ethanol concentrations by bringing liquid solution back to laboratories every day. The high portable spectroscopy will make it possible to measure multi-components simultaneously on manufacturing scene. But we found experimentally that absorption spectrum of glucose and water and ethanol were overlapped each other in near infrared light region. But for mid-infrared light region, we could distinguish specific absorption peaks of glucose (@10.5[μm]) and ethanol (@11.5[μm]) independently from water absorption. We obtained standard curve between absorption (@9.6[μm]) and ethanol concentration with high correlation coefficient 0.98 successfully by ATR imaging-type 2-dimensional Fourier spectroscopy (wavelength resolution: 0.057[μm]) with the graphite light source (maker: Hawkeye technologies, type: IR-75).

    We propose the extremely-compact-size line-imaging Fourier spectroscopy for smartphones. We realize the near common-path interferometer with strong robustness for mechanical vibrations by installing the transmission-type relative-inclined phase-shifter. The interferogram of an imaging line is formed as 2-dimensional fringe pattern on imaging sensor, such as CCD camera. In other words, the horizontal axis on an imaging sensor is assigned to phase-shift value. And the vertical axis is corresponds to image formation coordinate. Thus, by installing a relatively-inclined thinglass into imaging optics, such as smartphone, we will realize the line-imaging Fourier spectroscopy for healthcare sensor in daily-life environments.

    The purpose of this study is to correct baseline shift in absorbance spectrums caused by light source fluctuation. To improve quantitative evaluation performance of blood glucose level, baseline shift is corrected by multiple scatter correction (MSC). Moreover, to increase the effect of the MSC, water vapor absorbance is subtracted, and relative glucose absorbance are calculated by dividing with hemoglobin absorbance at 1544 [cm-1]. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed spectrum correction method, light source fluctuation is simulated on the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and we apply the proposed method to the spectrums measured by FT-IR. From the simulation results, the baseline shift was successfully reduced by proposed method. © 2014 SPIE.

    We are aiming at the realization of the measurement technology for the biological-substance distributions, such as sebum, on entire faces at the daily-life environment. We proposed the imaging-type 2-dimensional Fourier spectroscopy [1] that is the palmtop-size portable measurement apparatus and has the strong robustness for mechanical vibrations. And the proposed method can measure the wide-field 2-dimensional middle-infrared spectroscopic-imaging of radiation lights emitted from human bodies itself without light sources. In the proposed method, we install the phase-shifter, that can give an arbitrary phase difference for the half-flux of objective beams, at the optical Fourier transform plane of the infinity corrected optical system. The near-common-path interferometer that is a phase-shift interferometer between objective beams can be realized. In this proposed method, the emitted rays from each single-bright-point on measurement surfaces can interfere with each other. Thus, even if the middle infrared-lights from human bodies are the spatially incoherent light, we can acquire the interferograms at each pixel on an imaging array-device in accordance with the amount of phase shift as the 2-dimensional image-intensity changes. We demonstrated the feasibility of the middle infrared spectroscopic imaging of whole human faces without active illuminations. © 2014 SPIE.

    In daily-life environment, the quantitative measurement of biological substances, such as the blood glucose level in the human skin, is strongly required to realize the non-invasive healthcare apparatus. Fourier- spectroscopic-tomography of the little-finger-size with high time-resolution and with the strong robustness for mechanical vibrations is proposed. The proposed method is a kind of near-common-path interferometer with spatial phase-shift method. We install the transmission-type relative-inclined phase-shifter on the optical Fourier transform plane of the infinity corrected optical system. The phase shifter is constructed with the cuboid and wedge prisms to give the relative phase-shift spatially between each half-flux of the objective beams. The interferograms from each single-bright-point on an objective surface in a line are formed as fringe patterns on 2-dimensional imaging array devices. And because the proposed method is based on the imaging optics, only emitted rays from a focal plane can contribute forming of interferograms. Thus, the measurement plane can be limited onto the focal plane only. From the spectroscopic tomography, only at a localized vessel area in human skins, we can get the pinpointed near-infrared spectroscopic data. And we can expect the improvement of the determination precision, because a Fourier spectroscopic-character is acquired from multiple intensity data in accordance with amount of phase-shift. From the statistical point of view, the gradation of detector is improved with the square root of sample number, based on t-distribution. We constructed the statistical model to assure the determination accuracy, and demonstrated the feasibility of the glucose sensor using liquid cells. © 2014 SPIE.

    The catalytic activity of a polyhedral vanadium-containing silsesquioxane ((c-C5H9)(7)Si7O12VO, 1b) with a cubic core structure towards the selective photooxidation of benzene, cyclohexane, and adamantane was examined under O-2 (1 atm) at around 300 K. The reaction of benzene in the presence of 1b afforded phenol selectively, but the TON was low (similar to 1.4). Complex 1b showed high activity towards the reaction of cyclohexane (TON similar to 16) and adamantane (TON similar to 7.0). The order of the reactivity of the C-H bonds in adamantane was tertiary C-H > secondary C-H. In addition to Ib, the mixtures of vanadyl bisacetylacetonate and incompletely-condensed silsesquioxanes with silanol functionality showed relatively high activities, although vanadyl bisacetylacetonate itself was not effective. The degradation of the catalysts in the course of the reaction was partly suppressed in the presence of molecular sieves-4A.

Temperatures as high as 500 K were indispensable for the selective formation of methanal from methane (ca. 19 mu mol h(-1)), corresponding to 5.5% of the photons irradiated into the catalyst bed (<300 nm). The yields were greatly affected by the loading levels of molybdenum species, the preparation methods of the catalysts and the light flux into the catalyst bed. Photooxidation of ethane and propane also selectively gave the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in high yields (ca. 80 mu mol h(-1)) at elevated temperature.     Iron, cobalt, and ruthenium carbonyls show novel catalytic activities. The Fe(CO)5/S system is an excellent catalyst precursor for coal liquefaction using carbon monoxide water, syngas/water, and carbon monoxide/alcohol as hydrogen sources. The carbonyl trinuclear ferrate/KOH/support system exhibits high catalytic activity with high selectivity for lower olefins in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Using Co2(CO)8/N-silylamine, a variety of cyclic ethers are smoothly carbonylated to give the corresponding siloxy amides. The Ru-catalyzed C-H bond activation of a variety of formyl groups is widely applicable for hydroamidation, hydroesterification, and hydroacylation of olefins using formamides, formates, and aldehydes, respectively. The Ru3(CO)12/carbon monoxide system is effective for deoxygenative transformation of oximes and nitroarenes. Ketoximes, amidoximes, and aldoximes are converted into ketimines, amidines, and aldimines, respectively.
