    香川大学と南アジア(インド・バングラデシュ・ネパール)との強い関係を、気候変動メカニ ズム科学と気候変動適応科学が結びついた南アジア気候変動科学の研究拠点に結実させる。南アジアでは、 2022 年の夏季にも極端豪雨や干ばつが発生し、気候の変貌への懸念が広がっている。気候変動への脆弱性が 高く、20 億近い人口を抱える南アジア各地の気候変動適応現場と往還する広大なネットワークを構築する。
  • 着脱基質を用いた藻場造成によるウニと海藻の共生システムの構築

    東北地方沿岸部は,親潮と黒潮が衝突する潮目に近い海域であり,我が国における極めて良好な漁場として位置付けられる.しかし,2011年3月に発生した東日本大震災により,海底の地盤沈下,流動場の変化および磯焼けの問題等により,現在も震災以前のような磯根資源豊かな状態には戻っていない.また,漁業者の減少・高齢化と後継者不足も深刻な問題となっている.本研究では,事前に岩手県宮古市重茂地先海域に藻場造成構造物を4基設置し,海藻の繁茂状況とウニの蝟集量調査を実施した.一般的に,海藻被度を増加させるには「移植」,「光供給」,「栄養塩供給」,「基質の供給」,「浮泥除去」という技術が用いられるが,当該海域での磯焼け発生・継続要因を考慮して「移植」,「基質の供給」を選択した.海藻被度の増加を担う核藻場の造成の方法として,構造物および基質に直接種糸を巻きつける「構造物直巻法」, 構造物に設置した柱状体間にロープを渡してウニの這い上がりを防ぐ「柱間ロープ渡し法」, 種糸付きロープを構造物や天然の岩礁などに取り付けた「ロープ直結法」, ウニが這い上がる方向とは逆の上から下に降りる行動に難があると見なし,多孔質基質をロープで海中に吊り下げて昆布の幼体時期に捕食されることなく生長させることを想定した「基質吊り下げ法」を考案した.これらの手法を試みた結果,「基質吊り下げ法」が有効だと分かった.しかし,本手法を大規模かつ広範囲に採用するとなると,岩礁や構造物にロープを結び付ける構造上の問題,経済性,設置場所が制限される等の汎用性が低いという問題が発生した. そこで,海藻の着生と成長が認められた「基質吊り下げ法」で得られた知見を基に,新たに「浮上式投入法」を考案し,経済的にも安価かつ高密度にウニが生息する場所でも昆布場を造成でき,ウニと昆布の両者の共生と高齢の漁業者らが安全に操業可能であるという知見が得られた.
  • Development of decontamination methods in water and land areas

    In this study, an electric current test by the electrophoresis method was carried out in order to efficiently extract cesium from the contaminated soil in the flexible container bag as a decontamination of the land area. From the test, the usefulness of the proposed method was confirmed without the aid of extraction by adopting ammonium acetate aqueous solution as electrolyte. It was also found that strontium can be selectively absorbed by immersing hydroxyapatite derived from fish bone, which was developed by researchers, in various aqueous solutions for water decontamination, and almost all strontium can be adsorbed after 1 week (168 hours), for example, in distilled water or in a saline environment. Since this adsorbent has high adsorption ability at low cost, not only academic contribution is big but also social significance is also big.
  • Explication of a mechanism for the inhibitory effects of apatite on a metallic corrosion and the development of preservation concrete

    Hydroxyapatite (HAP) significantly inhibited the corrosion of iron plates in sodium chloride solution and the releases of iron ions from iron plate. No formation of the layer of newly formed chemical composition on the plate surfaces was observed by analysis with TEM. The corrosion electric potentials of metals were increased. The linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) between iron and platinum electrode were significantly inhibited by HAP. It was suggest that the inhibitory effect of HAP on the anode reaction of iron corrosion reaction seems to be caused by some physical mechanisms. The fresh-concrete containing HAP fitted with JIS standard. The compressive strength of the test pieces with HAP were more than 40 N/mm2 as well as those of the test pieces without HAP. The inhibitory effects of HAP on the corrosion of iron sands in the concrete test pieces containing iron sands with HAP were confirmed in the sodium chloride solution with 1N hydrochloric acid.
  • Study on adsorption performance of adsorbent material and development of decontamination sheet

    Large amounts of radioactive materials were spread over a wide range by the accident of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant occurred. Currently, the decontamination of radioactive materials discharged by this accident is urgently needed. However, the efficient and effective decontamination technology is not established. It is necessary to achieve the extraction of the cesium that firmly fixed to the clay mineral in soil and the volume reduction of disposal materials so as to base our prediction on the decontamination. In this study, the test was conducted to examine the extraction characteristic of cesium and the adsorption property of an adsorbent material. From the test, it is turned out that there is not most changes in extraction characteristics even if the passage of time is changed, and that the used adsorbent has a very high adsorption ability.

    Floating aquaculture facilities are often used in culture fisheries and fish farming. In the case of rearing fish juveniles that have hiding behavior in the floating aquaculture preserves, the number of fish juveniles decreases due to the stress from movement of preserves caused by the waves. In this study, we invented the wave energy absorption gadget operates on the principle that the natural frequency of the oscillating wave column is determined not by its volume but by its length. We have conducted some field experiments in different conditions and acquired high wave energy absorption ratio besides better survival rate of fish juveniles in the floating rearing facilities.

    The seismic behaviors of the deformed pipelines are not clear. The effectiveness of the flexible and non-detached mechanical joint is not examined enough. Moreover, the influence of the joint characteristics on the bending moment, stress, strain of pipelines, etc. has not been clarified. Numerical response analyses were carried out for buried pipelines with typical joint characteristics and soil frictions subjected to seismic waves or ground displacements during liquefaction by using ERUAL program. As a result, it was found that the stress concentrations occur near bend pipe section or branched pipe section as the bending moment and the rotation are predominant, and the effectiveness of the flexible and non-detached mechanical joint was verified.

    The carbonated porous material using industrial by-product was developed for improving aquatic environment. The carbonation technology can expect the reduction of CO2, recycling of the industrial by-product and environmental impact reduction. This research verified the high enhancement function of prey abundance against the other materials which be using the present artificial reefs. Especially, adhere of small prey abundance, seaweed and remove harmful metal irons in and around the carbonation porous material was 5-20 times larger against other substrates.

  • Research on the solute runoff mechanism from basin and the marine ecosystem at the flood event using the hydrology and seawater flow model

    The influence that geological features and the difference of the land use gave to the solute runoff mechanism from the basin to the sea area was examined. To achieve the purpose, the field observation and the mathematical model simulation were executed. The water quality and hydrological observation were done in the Umayado river basin(covered in sandstone-mudstone, and forest)and the Kabe river basin(covered in granite, and coexistence ground in forest, urban area, and farmland)at the rain event of Typhoon No. 4 in 2007. The total precipitation was 200mm in both of the two basins. The finding is described as follows. 1) In the point of the runoff rate and the solute runoff rate, the Umayado river basin (geological features: sandstone-mudstone)is higher than the Kabe river basin (geological features: granite). 2) In the relation between the geological features and the amount of the solute supply from the basin, the Kabe river basin is bigger than the Umavado river basin, for instance the amount of the supply of the silica increases by a factor of 1.6 3) When the land use upgraded, the runoff loading of silica becomes small The runoff loading of Kabe river basin was 46% fewer than that of the Umayado river basin. Because a large-scale flood event that influenced the seawater quality did not occur, the observation and analyze of the sea areas that were adjacent to the basins were not able to be done. However, it is thought that it was a very important result to be able concretely to examine the difference of the solute runoff mechanism of two basins which have the different geological features and land use, using the mathematical model in the condition like the same rainfall wave form and precipitation.
  • 沿岸域の自然再生のための住民参加による藻場創出技術の開発

    本年度は、風と波浪の影響を少なくするために浮き藻場構造物自体に浮力を持たせ、海底に沈設したコンクリートに係留固定し海中に浮かせる構造変更により、海中における安定性が向上し、風や波浪による構造上のトラブルもなくアマモの生育・着生が可能であることが確認できた。しかし、長期間の使用にともない、金属部の腐食対策、他の海草の付着による浮体構造物の重量の増加、観測装置の点検等の問題が発生し、メンテナンスが容易な浮体構造への設計変更を行う必要が生じた。メンテナンスを容易に行う事が可能となるように以下の3点の設計変更を行った。1)浮体構造物を筏より懸垂する懸垂方式への変更。2)構造体をコンクリート製からFRP製への材質の変更。3)アマモの着生床を砂から植生マットへの育成床の変更。これらの改良を行った新たな浮体構造物を製作しアマモ移植・着生実験を行った結果、構造物の揺動が若干増加したものの、アマモの順調な生育が確認できた。 浮き藻場の創出・整備計画手法の開発、管理マニュアルの策定を行うために、本年度はPCM手法を海域環境改善問題へ適応し、2回のPCMワークショップを開催し海域環境改善への適応可能性を検討した。ワークショップでは、行政、漁業者、NPOボランティア、大学高専関係者等、延べ30名の参加を得て、「沿岸のごみ問題」、「藻場・干潟減少問題」等の海域環境悪化の問題に対して、それぞれ「問題分析」、「目的分析」、「プロジェクト選択」を実施した。ワークショップ終了後に実施したアンケート調査によると、PCM手法の有効性に対して参加者全員が認め、また、次回の参加意志の問に対しては、85%が参加の意志を示した。さらに、自由記述欄をみると、各問題に対して、「理解が深まった」、「発言しやすい雰囲気であった」、「知識が増えた」などの意見が多く見られた。これらの結果から、海域環境改善問題へのPCM手法の有効性が確認できた。
  • Performance Evaluation of Concrete Using Waste-Molten Slag and Its Application for Restoration of Sea-Waters Environment

    The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanical properties of concrete and reinforced concrete using municipal garbage and industrial waste molten slag, to develop a non-destructive performance evaluation method and to examine the effect of the molten slag on the restoration of sea environment. Based on the experimental results regarding the physical and chemical properties of molten slag and the fresh property, strength and durability of concrete using molten slag, it was clarified that the molten slag is utilized as an aggregate for concrete. It was also concluded that the shape improvement of molten slag by rubbing-reformation has deceased the unit quantities of water and improved the compressive strength of concrete. In addition, the experimental results on the flexural and shear behaviour of reinforced concrete beams using molten slag showed that the molten slag can be applied for reinforced concrete members. It was also clarified that the use of molten slag has little effect on the bond stress - slip relationship of reinforcing bar in reinforced concrete beams using molten slag. Regarding the application of ultrasonic wave method for evaluating the performance of concrete, model tests and numerical analysis were conducted. However, the effect of the difference of boundary condition in ordinary aggregate and molten slag was not evaluated with ultrasonic waves. Regarding the improvement of marine environment, it was found that the adherent prey abundance of concrete using molten slag is about 7 times as much as that of concrete without molten slag, the fish aggregation has increased around the molten slag concrete and the concentration of chemical oxygen demand has decreased in bottom sediment. Therefore, it can be concluded that the molten slag is effective as the improvement materials of biological environment.
  • 水域開発に伴う資源再利用型環境保全・修復システムに関する研究

    瀬戸内海のような閉鎖性海域における環境改善は十分には進んでいないのが現状であり、生物生息環境の保全・改善・創造のための技術の開発が急務となっている。 本研究は、流動制御機能を有する水産資源増殖構造物に関する技術および実海域における水産資源増殖効果の定量的評価技術をシーズとし、生物親和性が高く、製造・組立が容易な多孔質体を装着した水産資源増殖構造物を開発するとともに海域環境保全・修復システムを構築することを目的とした。 本研究では、形状、性状、調達の容易性等から製鋼スラグ、建設二次処理副産物を骨材として使用し、多孔質な構造を持つ新基質を開発した。従来の魚礁構造物では実現が困難であった流動制御機能を有し,餌料生物および海藻胞子の着生促進を可能とした水産資源増殖構造物を数値モデルによって推定した漁場造成適地に設置し、生物環境改善機能について継続的に調査・検証した。主な研究成果としては、以下に示すものが得られた。 前年とは高さの異なる模型を製作し水理実験および数値シミュレーションを行うことにより、構造物の有する流動制御機能の影響範囲を定量的に評価した。研究対象海域においても潮流観測・潮流計算を行い、実験的に設置適地を選定し、構造物沈設後、魚類・付着生物調査も行った。継続的な魚類蝟集・付着生物調査に加え、有用稚魚の放流を行い構造物への蝟集量を調査した結果、既存の天然岩礁へ放流した場合以上の着生量が確認された。また、餌料培養多孔質プレートとしてスラグ混入・無混入のものを構造物に設置しており、基質別および空隙率別に選好性餌料生物調査を行うことにより、多孔質プレートの餌料培養効果の優位性を検証し、最適設計を行った。 これらの結果より、(1)水産資源増殖構造物の仕様、(2)水理模型実験、(3)設置海域の潮流観測・潮流計算、(4)実機実験を経て海域環境保全・修復システムを構築し、その有効性を検証した。
