    申請者らは,光を用いた非侵襲な速度分布計測技術として,精密な位置情報取得を可能とする光空間エンコード化を利用した差動型レーザドップラー速度計測技術を開発してきた.本研究では,光空間エンコード化のコンセプトを発展させ,速度分布の同時計測が可能な新たな3次元空間速度分布計測方法を確立するための技術を開発するとともに,マイクロ流路等の微小領域の速度分布を計測可能な集積型デバイスへ展開するための技術を開発する.
  • Laser Doppler velocimetry for three-dimensional distribution measurement of velocity vectors based on optical spatial encoding

    We studied the technologies to establish the method for measuring three-dimensional distributions of velocity vectors based on optical spatial encoding and differential laser Doppler velocimetry. We demonstrated the three-dimensional distribution measurement of a velocity component by developing a 4x4x5-channel experimental setup. We also developed the measurement system for measuring three velocity components for measuring velocity vectors. In addition, we designed Nb2O5/SiO2-based input/output grating couplers with high optical efficiency for integrated waveguide devices.
  • Laser Doppler velocimetry for dense cross-sectional velocity distribution measurement using spatial encoding and non-mechanical scanning

    To establish a method for measuring a two-dimensional cross-sectional velocity distribution precisely and densely with a compact and reliable probe, we studied laser Doppler velocimetry using a combination of non-mechanical scanning and simultaneous multipoint measurement based on spatial encoding. We developed a technique for dense velocity distribution measurement with 48 measurement points and a signal acquisition/processing system for automated and high-speed measurement. In addition, we investigated a miniature probe using compact bulk optics and a waveguide-based integrated probe.
  • Realization of safe and worry-free community using security camera system, which watches over the whole community with privacy protection

    The purpose of our research is to realize safe and worry-free community with security camera. In this study, we developed a security camera system which records all-inspection activity of the camera to prevent illegal use of the camera. With this system, it is possible to verify who, when, for what, which camera image was observed and whether the use of images was legitimate. Additionally, an image recognition function was added to the camera to greet to pedestrian and to detect illegal car stop. Some social experiments with developed cameras were carried out.
  • Geographic scaling of elastic optical network by introducing virtualized elastic regenerators

    In future translucent elastic optical networks, a programmable multi-carrier generator (PMG) and virtualized elastic regenerator (VER) replacement algorithm will be key technologies. We proposed PMG based on common optical frequency references that achieve both the precise sub-carrier spacing and the flexible center frequency assignment, and demonstrate a proof of concept experiment. In addition, we proposed VER-placement and routing and spectrum assignment algorithms, and numerically evaluated the effectiveness of the algorithms by applying them to protected and un-protected networks.
  • Development of reliable scanning laser Doppler velocimeter without moving mechanism in its probe

    We studied a method for scanning laser Doppler velocimetry that doesn't require any moving mechanism in its probe to realize the equipment with a compact, reliable, and easily-handled probe for velocity distribution measurement. We developed techniques for directional discrimination and two-axis scanning. These techniques make it possible to apply the proposed velocimetry to various objects. In addition, we developed several types of miniaturized probes using free-space optics. We also investigated waveguide-type components for integration of the scanning laser Doppler velocimeter. As the results of the study, we have achieved the prospect of realizing an easily-handled scanning laser Doppler velocimeter for practical use.
  • Improvement of dynamic-error collection method for force transducers

    In order to improve dynamic correction method for a force sensor, we develop high-precision evaluating system of dynamic property of force sensors and evaluated and analyses the dynamic property. The measurement range and accuracy of evaluating system were improved. Some types of force sensors were evaluated and were investigated their dynamic properties by experimental results and FEM analysis. In addition to inertial, viscosity and delay of measurement equipment seemed to affect the dynamic error. We develop the correction method for the dynamic error and develop a software to correct the dynamic error with the correction method. We showed a way to resolve the problem that there is no evaluation method nor correction method for force transducers in the present state.
  • Suggestion of safe and secure town planning using security camera with both privacy protection and surveillance

    In order to develop and spread the new security camera system which resolves the problem of privacy invasion, we have developed the e-JIKEI camera and have established the operating policy for this cameras system through the social experiments. As the results, the e-JIKEI door phone, which always watches at the front of its outer unit and stores the video with encryption, was developed. In the mind of residents who participates a social experiment, the sense of insecurity about privacy invading seemed to reduce and the sense of insecurity about not to be watched seemed to increase. To realize the society in which no case of no ocular witness on accidents, we have advanced the e-JIKEI system.
  • 非メカニカルな血流速度分布計測用2次元断面走査型レーザドップラー速度計の開発

    高信頼かつ小型な血流速度分布計測手法の確立を目指し、速度方向に対して垂直な断面内を非メカニカルに走査可能な2次元断面走査型LDVを開発した。波長可変レーザと光スイッチを備えた本体と回折格子を備えたプローブを偏波保持ファイバアレイで接続する構成を提案し、模擬光学系による実験の結果、2次元断面走査可能であることを確認した。拍動による流速方向変化にも適した技術開発として、音響光学変調器および電気光学変調器を用いたヘテロダイン方式による速度方向識別方法を検討した。本方式を2次元断面走査用光学系に適用し、2次元断面走査かつ速度方向識別が可能となった。今後、プローブ小型化および流管を用いた実験を進めていく。
  • Development of calibration and correction method for dynamic error of force sensor

    For resolving the lack of dynamic force calibrating method for force transducer, we developed a new measurement and correction method using the levitation mass method. In this research, a high-precision measurement method for dynamic characteristics and a correction method which needs only the output signal of a force transducer and a parameter. We develop a program which corrects the output data of force sensor and open the program on our website for public free of charge.
  • Study on security camera system using image encryption for safety of community

    We have proposed the new concept regarding the management of security cameras which consists of two basic concepts :(1) the concept in which each individual watches around his/ her house using cameras and a computer,(2) the concept for privacy protection by means of encryption of images. In this study, we developed technologies and conducted social experiments, aiming to spread the proposed concept and realize community safety. We developed various security camera systems with the function of privacy protection which enable us to significantly increase the applications of the concept, and we conducted social experiments to evaluate the systems. As the results of these activities, we have achieved the prospect of widely spreading the proposed concept.
