- Care impression experience process of the main caregiver of the elderly with dementia at home -Supporting the power of the primary caregiver-Japan Society for the Promotion of Science：Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C)Date (from‐to) : 2021/04 -2025/03Author : 森河 佑季; 山本 美輪; 前川 泰子; 西村 美穂本研究は在宅認知症高齢者の主介護者を対象に介護感動経験プロセスを主介護者や認知症高齢者、訪問看護師の相互作用から分析し、主介護者がもつ介護継続の力とその力を支える支援のあり方を解明することを目的とする。今年度は、第1段階である文献検討を行った。まず、令和2年12月に日本看護科学学会学術集会において示説発表した「在宅で暮らす認知症高齢者の言動に対する家族介護者の思いや対応に関する文献レビュー」のデータの再分析を行った。その結果、家族介護者は、在宅認知症高齢者の言動により対応の難しさや後悔・自責感・我慢などのさまざまなネガティブな感情を抱いていた。しかし、介護を継続していくなかで、認知症高齢者に対する想いや認知症高齢者の言動を尊重する思いが出現していく心理過程を経ていた。この結果を参考に、在宅認知症高齢者の主介護者の介護経験に関する文献検討を医学中央雑誌WEB版Ver.5を用いて行った。現在は、該当文献（23件）の収集を終え、データ内容を分析しており、結果を第2段階に向けた一助とする予定である。また、次年度実施予定である主介護者や訪問看護の介護状況に関するフィールドワークや主介護者へのインタビューに向けて、COVID19感染対策を踏まえた研究計画書の内容を検討している段階である。

- Development of care program for assisting elderly person with dementia achieving ego integrity based on their stress patternJapan Society for the Promotion of Science：Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C)Date (from‐to) : 2012/04 -2018/03Author : Omori Mitsuko; Kikuchi KayokoThis study aimed to understand the actual living activities of elderly persons with dementia, who were moving toward ego integrity, and clarify care for assisting the persons develop ego integrity. We observed elderly nursing home residents with dementia at their nursing home. Through comprehensive analysis of the observed behaviors, feelings, thoughts, stresses, human relations and environment, we summarized challenges of life faced in everyday life. Also, a summary was prepared on care provided to the elderly persons with dementia for assisting them develop ego integrity.
- Evaluation Study of Educational Supporting Program for Families of AlcoholicsJapan Society for the Promotion of Science：Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C)Date (from‐to) : 2012/04 -2016/03Author : Ochi Momoe; NOJIMA SAYUMI; NAKAHIRA YOUKO; SAKAMOTO YUTA; OMORI MITUKO; NISIMURA MIHO; HIKITA KOTONO; MASAOKA ATUKO; IKEDA SAKURABased on previous studies of support programs for families of alcoholics in Japan and abroad, and findings from research funded by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) between 2008 to 2010, I made a trial plan for a family support program for families of alcoholics. In developing the trial plan, I discussed ideas at professional meetings. I selected family system theory as the base theory of the program, and I used a solution-focused approach. The objectives of the program were: 1) to empower family members, 2) for family members to conceptualize solutions, 3) for family members to make a coping plan, and 4) for family members to implement their plan. We conducted two courses for families of alcoholics, and we found out that we achieved our objectives. In the future, we plan to standardize the program and identify the evaluation guidelines to validate the effectiveness of the program.
- Life and death of the elderly living in nursing homesJapan Society for the Promotion of Science：Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Young Scientists (B)Date (from‐to) : 2011 -2012Author : NISHIMURA MihoThis study aimed to clarify the situation regarding the life and death of elderly people living in nursing homes.Subjects were 8 elderly people (mean age: 87 years, mean care level: 3.5) living in nursing homes. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, and we asked them to freely speak about their life and their own death. After preparing verbatim transcripts of the interview data, contents about life and death were extracted and categorized based on similarity. As ethical considerations, we closely followed the subjects and understood their life patterns, and interviews were conducted so as not to disturb the natural flow of their lives. The elderly people living in nursing homes [reflected on their lives] by [experiencing difficulties because life didn’t work out the way they had expected]. The results also revealed that they [tried to find the meaning of their own existence and meaning/purpose of life] while [being supported and healed by relationships with someone they can rely on].
