    Takahashi Industrial Economic Research Foundation：Investigation of educational support needed to promote the globalization of Cambodian industry

    Focus: This project will focus on Cambodian Training Centers and Cambodian universities to: • investigate the needs of English language needs and aspirations for future studies of English language learners • investigate the needs of educators in terms of pedagogical support and training materials support, particularly at the RTCs • develop a materials support system that relies on upfront, low cost, low maintenance technology in Cambodia, supported by open source teaching material developed specifically designed to meet needs in Cambodia, and hosted (initially) on a web server in Japan. While this program is language learning focused, once completed it may serve as a model for reducing barriers faced by Cambodia youth in other key areas, such as technical or scientific training.

To purpose of this program is to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to establish a a new food business in their home countries. This training program, “Development of a New, Small Food Business”, was supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of the JICA Training Program for Japanese Descendants. It was developed to provide opportunities people of Japanese descent to visit Japan to acquire techniques and knowledge, and then apply these acquired techniques and knowledge to the social, technical or scientific development of their own countries.

    Media report JICA 2020 Training Program for Japanese Descendants through Video on Demand This training program, “Development of a New, Small Food Business”, is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of the JICA Training Program for Japanese Descendants. It was developed to provide opportunities people of Japanese descent to visit Japan to acquire techniques and knowledge, and then apply these acquired techniques and knowledge to the social, technical or scientific development of their own countries. The 2020 Program focusses on Latin America, specifically Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.
